A dead link, also known as a broken link, refers to a hyperlink on a web page that no longer works because it’s pointing to a webpage or resource that has been moved, deleted, or otherwise made inaccessible. Dead links can lead to a poor user experience as they may result in error messages such as “404 Not Found,” and can negatively impact a website’s SEO performance.
