Process
Step-by-step actions
This time, the client did not plan to work with us on a full SEO campaign. Instead, he asked us to support his team in developing an outreach plan and schedule a brief consultation on SEO best practices.
This allowed us to focus on what really mattered in this situation: generating traffic to the site and building authority as quickly as possible. With our experience developing brands in competitive niches, we knew we had to take a broader view of the industry as a whole. This helped us set realistic expectations in terms of link building results and overall marketing strategy.
1
SEO consulting
To begin, we focused on the site's weaknesses: insufficient on-page optimization, lack of quality backlinks and low keyword rankings. We then provided the client's team with organized, practical advice. These covered technical SEO issues such as optimal internal link structure, metadata improvements and keyword analysis (keyword research).
2
Optimization of site architecture
We proposed a new site structure and content plan to make it more search engine friendly.
3
Competitor and market analysis
We looked at competitors' link profiles and other SEO metrics. We noticed that many of the client's competitors were betting on trends at the expense of long-term benefits. This approach may have worked, but the client was determined to build a strong brand for the long term. Therefore, our recommendations included expanding the site with more evergreen content and an emphasis on building relationships, not just links.
4
Building relationships through links
We realized that the client's website needed to be associated with high authority domains in order to gain credibility and elevate it to the top of visibility. We got in touch with SaaS sites that had already published content talking about GPT, AI and chatbots more than once.
5
Link Building Strategy
We were guided in our work by our Link Requirement Plan (LRP). This is a document that outlines the key requirements of our link building strategy. It allows us to focus on delivering results and tracking progress. The LRP is the embodiment of the PDCA method. It provides a clear, concise overview of predictions versus actual results. Allows us to be proactive and adjust our strategy.
